Work experience

IT-consulting. I worked on automated testing of web services and firmware for audio-video devices.

Test Automation Engineer

I worked in a team of automation specialists, and interacted with manual test engineers team. The working language was English.
I had a lot of interesting tasks, such as automated testing of firmware of our devices or different complex features, related to audio-video functionality.
I got hands-on experience with automation processes (coding, maintenance, code review, etc.). Here I learned a lot and fell in love with things like style guides and code reviews.
Here I was also responsible for timely preparation of test plans for automation purposes.

Main technologies and skills: test automation, code review, Python, PyTest, Selenium WebDriver, Allure Framework, REST API, TestRail, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Git, AWS, Jenkins, test design, manual testing.

QA Engineer

I was a part of a big and geographically distributed team. This is my first job with English as a working language.
Here I created a lot of test cases and other documentation (in particular, a lot of wiki pages with product features descriptions). I learned how to describe complex logic in a clear way.
I also often participated in discussions about new features implementation, including offering my own solutions.

Main technologies and skills: test design, manual testing, Jira, Confluence, MS SQL, TortoiseSVN.

QA Engineer

I was responsible for an antivirus module of a big EPP (endpoint protection platform). I was busy with different Windows-specified things and learned this OS deeply. Also, I created and maintained different scripts for performance testing and test data generation using PowerShell and Python.
Here I also started as the only QA specialist, but later an intern joined our team. I trained him, and he successfully passed the probationary period and became a junior specialist.

Main technologies and skills: test design, manual testing, virtual machines, Windows mmc, Sysinternals tools, file systems, PowerShell, Python.

QA Engineer

It was my first job as a QA engineer. This company had an educational program for new specialists, and I learned a lot about the theory and practice of testing.
At my project I updated old test cases and added many new ones, in fact I created a completely new test plan on the old basis. This test plan was highly rated by others and has been reused as an example for other projects.
I was the only tester at this project and managed all the testing processes myself. A few months after starting work, I also started helping out with another project as an extra activity.

Main technologies and skills: test design, manual testing, postman, jenkins, Windows mmc, virtual machines, network protocols.
